I want to share the newly-created HTML for People, a resource for everyone, especially folks with very-little-to-no HTML experience.

I caught a cold at the beginning of the month and was definitely in no shape for anything for a few days... Last weekend, I managed to go through and fix up some formatting on my site that I didn't like. I also fixed some file names and subdirectory 'errors'. Still need to go through one last section but it isn't a huge priority.

What I would like to do is push to finish archiving one section from my old site. Not sure if I can do that much this weekend, but I'll make an effort. Hopefully by the end of the month.

Slowly working on adjusting the eternal Yuletide Bingo so users can pick the year in a dropdown menu. This year's standalone version is almost ready, apart from the tags obviously (that'll be an all-nighter right before the collection) and a few tweaks to this year's colour scheme.

I'm happy that the things I've learned this year come in handy now. Also shout-out to past me for leaving so many comments, that really helps with picking up a project I haven't touched in ten months.

If you have any suggestions or run into any issues while using them, please let me know! I can't promise that I can fix the issues, because I'd still consider myself a beginner, but I'm trying my best! :D

Thank you for sharing the HTML For People link! I immediately bookmarked that to read later, and to send to my friend who I've been desperately trying to convince to build her own website.

Thanks to the Small Web September event, I'm fully sucked back into working on my website again. I'm restructuring my fanfic archive pages, building some new areas of the site, and finishing off a few of the shrine pages I've had on my to-do list for ages. Next step: accessibility! (Something I definitely shouldn't have put off this long, but I found this beginner's guide to accessibility and this more in-depth one, and it's taught me a lot of stuff I didn't know on the topic.) After that, I guess I finally have to bite the bullet and work on making the whole site more mobile-friendly.

For something cool to share, I stumbled across this Resources for the Personal Web page. It's a very long list of resources for web-building in the small/indie web space.

I'm looking through classless CSS frameworks to find a nice one to use as a base for my site, it's easier to tweak things than start from scratch tbh. None that I've found are just right though, might need to combine some styles!

What I've done for my site recently since Small Web September is crosspost fics onto there, add more recent artwork, and added a couple new buttons to my index page.

nice on the TTRPG sections progress! on the link garden thing: I don't think it's common, but I've definitely seen some people call theirs that. also reminds me of webgardens, which is basically a fancier kind of links page or button wall, I guess?

I've been working on creating a static clone of my AO3 with select fics I've written. I've only got 3 up so far, because it requires a Lot of coding. But. It's been fun LOL.

The Small Web September event really reminded me how much I enjoy tinkering with HTML & CSS for tinkering's sake. I started to feel a little silly about it - is anyone even going to see these pages? - but over on , I made a post about doll websites and snowazalea linked to my old site when I asked about their bookmarks list of personal doll pages that are still up!

Oh that's cool. And yeah, the tinkering can be a lot of fun. I already have ideas for future sites I want to build, eventually, when I'm done with the current one. ^^;;
