Sort of related, I set up Soju as an IRC bouncer! Using it with Halloy. Mainly just to engage with Archive Team-related channels, but it was an adventure to get set up with my existing setup, haha. May set up an XMPP server soon for friends and family, will see...

Otherwise, I'm relatively close to a point where I'd feel okay letting myself work on my website again. It just consumes me when I do, I spend hours coding and such, so I have to be careful about when I can do it or else I'll lose days to it! XD

I made a site button for an acquaintance, just for fun. He liked it! I also started working on a new-ish layout yesterday. Not sure if it'll go anywhere or if it's just an experiment, but I'm proud of myself for recognizing when CSS grid (which I started the design using) was not the appropriate tool for the job, even though I could achieve what I wanted using it. Now I'm using flexbox instead, much less hassle!

As for cool resources, I'd like to recommend Brisray's list of all the webrings he could find, for anyone looking for webrings to join or surf, or anyone looking to promote a webring---he takes submissions!

Hmm, maybe you can help me smallweb. I like the idea of the newspaper layout I have on OCs page but it's not very accessible, it's ALL CAPS on Windows for some reason, and the text breaks off in weird ways… I don't really care for coding from scratch, so does anyone have a recommendation for where I might find a newspaper-inspired layout (doesn't have to be in columns like that) to use instead?

I (finally) got around to adding tropes to my paracosm. That'll be a WIP forever but it's oddly soothing to work on when I have time.

Off the top of my head, I remembered this newspaper template, by NomNomNami, though she warns it's a little complicated. Based on my looking over it, there doesn't seem to be anything that sets text to all caps, and it doesn't seem to wrap text to the next column, preventing the weird breaks you're dealing with. In other words, it doesn't look like it has your issues! Happy coding!
