I tried really hard to resist this idea, but I've started building a Silent Hill 2 fansite. The game just lends itself so well to weird, mazelike website design! It's extremely unfinished, but I'm having fun with it so far.
Finally bought a custom domain for my main site! And because I have no self control, I launched yet another new fansite, despite not finishing the ones I've already started lol.
Found these cool tutorials for anyone who might be interested. This one is for building a tag filtering system out of purely css and html. And this one is for creating a collapsing/expanding table of contents with nested lists. :)
Fixed some SSL issues and in the process switched to using acme-companion, seems to be working well! Just a few more weeks and then I get to get lost in website work, woo. Thinking about what I might do on the site, maybe blog about playing Animal Crossing?
I added this very silly Danganronpa page to my website! When you have to think about site navigation all the time at work, it is quite fun just to stick everything behind a randomiser 😈
I've been busy adding pages to my site, and not worrying about if they're completely finished or perfect or whatever. I just want to have it up there so at least I know where it IS, and then I can update it later. Mostly this turned out to be half-formed guides on various topics, like this Archiving Fandom page which is mostly just an intro and an outline at the moment.
In trying to keep better track of what I'm doing, I decided to use status.cafe for a kind of site log. They have a bookmarklet that makes it very easy to just ping out a short update right from the same page that I updated. They have an RSS option which I might use later, too.
I did a huge redesign of my website! It took a little while, and there's still things that I'd like to change/fix, but overall I'm very happy with how it looks.
I finally finished my guide to Fate/stay night and Fate/Zero, a complementary page for one of my shrines (target audience: friends and regulars). And, while procrastinating on other things, also managed to improve the site's mobile view.
Thank you for visiting and letting me know! :D My initial plan for the site didn’t include such a detailed overview, but hearing from several people, including you, that it’s proven useful makes me glad that I saw it through. :)
A month ago I took down my old site and made a Sailor Moon Fan-shrine instead. I then started working on a meta post for Crystal Tokyo and reviews for the fourth volume of manga but I kinda got sidetracked. I'm hoping to be finished with both by the next Chatter post but who knows. I also need to make it look better on Mobile view.
Oh, I wondered where your site had gone! How lovely to see the birth of a new Sailor Moon shrine, and one with a selection so personal too. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Cosmos.
I also like how the layout is not at all what's commonly associated with Sailor Moon, let alone an aesthetic one would expect from a Sailor Moon site... But, as you explain, it is very specifically Sailor Moon, and it pairs off so nicely with the site's name as well as its content: a digital space that stores your loving thoughts on the series.
