So coming in from the "indie web" more than the "fan" community- I played a bit on easy mode, finishing up a site I had built part of the UI for: It's dessigned to be THE simplest online poll/survey app, and it's free to use:
so, famously programmers "scratch their own itch" with stuff they make, and it's already been good for a poll for my band.
At the risk of breaking its minimalism - the one other person who has an interest in it asked me to add "ranked choice voting" - it's a little rougher but it works - https://kirk.is/rcv-polling/
(so that's a little re-oderable widget and then it runs the math to make more fair elections: you can see the results of a BIG election test data at https://kirk.is/rcv-polling/view/?prez ) (results at bottom once it loads)
