HI HELLO, and happy new year, everyone!! ^ o^)/ I'm finally taking the plunge to set up my miniblog/Status Cafe replacement using a template I found through one of my mutuals!! I'm nervous since I haven't done any serious coding in a while, but EXCITED to finally get my hands on it and learn!! :D
Here's the template (under "Blog Style Templates" in both Pastille and Periwinkle) for the curious just in case it might help anyone!! I missed Status Cafe a lot, but when I started running into this weird JavaScript bug there, I made the hard decision to let it go. Found this template and it gave me renewed hope!! ; u;
Good luck on any of the project you pursue this year!! ❤️
saying hello!!!!! i've been too locked into color tcg updating on my site to do much LOOL, i did find someone who has a resource collection with credits of the shiny imvu buttons + general shiny buttons which is awesome
I now have an automatic light/dark mode and a link to an index on every page. I've been slowly chipping away at my to-do list for the site.
I came across a link to this site that's archiving stuff from dead ~mid-2000s personal sites. A lot of it is old Photoshop resources, but there's posts like this one that have button bases among other things.
Lets see, I have 3 shrines I'm working on. Two of which just need a edit and the third the coding and images are done, now I just need to write the content. I'm also still plugging away at Snowflake Challenge.
I'm new and just poking around but actively thinking about the sites I want to make (mostly personal). I think I might want to take HTML more seriously (my knowledge is so ooold) but realized that I don't know much about accessibility for HTML smallweb. I think I need to give myself a short bootcamp because I looove those complicated sites that have buttons at the top where it just makes everything easier for people that need it. I just have 0 idea how to do it.
I just switched to a different SSG because what I was using before was getting unwieldy and demotivating. My goal right now is to focus on actually putting stuff on the site. I always end up distracted by technical things or too perfectionistic to put anything I make on there.
I just saw someone mention using Frogtab for letting people send them messages through their website. Frogtab's creator has a guide for using it that way on a Bear blog. No clue if Neocities or other static hosts support it, but maybe it's useful to have.
