I feel more of an urge to make pages on my website talking about whatever it is I want to talk about, but I do enjoy hearing others' thoughts. Dunno.
I think that's cool! For one thing, it means it all goes in a space that you control, and it's more likely to be around for the future as well if it's on your own site. And if you decide to add what you've posted to the conversation, you can always link to it. Though I think there's nothing wrong with being more in a 'lurker' mode if that's what you prefer ^^
